Natural Greenhouse Effects for Global Warming

From the start to up till now, it’s a very prolonged story. The temperature of earth keeps on changing by time to time. Well, it’s not that strange, the climate of earth has changed when it received more or less sunlight during its orbital motion or orbit shifting, so as the temperature. Earth’s temperature has also changed when the sun’s energy converge or diverge. All of these are the natural facts and phenomena. But, from the last few years, another factor is rapidly influencing the earth’s climate. That factor is none other than us; the human beings.

What global warming is? 

Global warming is basically an abnormal increase in earth’s average surface temperature. It is believed that this change in temperature is permanently changing the earth’s atmosphere.  According to a study, the global surface temperature has increased 0.6 to 0.9 degrees Celsius between 1906 and 2005. How we can say that human beings are responsible for this warming? How much more the earth will temperate? What will happen after some more years? These are the questions which are becoming a challenge for scientists to answer.

Natural and artificial greenhouse effects: 

Greenhouse effect is basically a process by which the radioactive gases from the atmosphere absorb in earth’s surface and warms it. There are two main types of greenhouse effects. One is the natural greenhouse effect and the other is artificial greenhouse effect. Naturally, the earth’s temperature initiates with the sun. According to a rough idea 70% of the incoming sunlight is absorbed by the land, ocean and the atmosphere while just the 30% is reflected back to space. The sunlight absorbed by the land and oceans creates the heat energy. Moreover, it turns the greenhouse gases, carbon dioxide and methane etc., present in the atmosphere to very small radiators who emit energy and warm the atmosphere. This natural greenhouse effect is feasible life. Aside from natural, there is an artificial greenhouse effect too.

Artificial greenhouse effect-cause of global warming: 

On the other hand, the issue which is of main concern is that from last two centuries the humans are artificially increasing the greenhouse effect. They are increasing the concentration of greenhouse gases in atmosphere by burning the fossil fuels. Another main reason of this type of greenhouse effect is cutting the forests, which are the carbon dioxide absorbers.

Global warming causing serious health issues:

It is a well known saying that excess of everything is bad. Since global warming is increasing earth’s temperature, the intense heat can be a killer. Apart from other global warming issues, increasing heat is also causing lots of health issues. Heat waves produced are very dangerous for health. Moreover, the increasing smog pollution due to global warming is causing many diseases like allergies, asthma etc. it disturbs the ecosystem too which in turns spate the infections like malaria, tick-borne and dengue fever etc. Moreover it causes many unusual environmental changes like floods, rainstorms, rising sea levels and contaminating the drinking water etc. According to a research, about fifty million people around the world have become the “environmental refugees” due to these environmental changes caused by the global warming.
